Melissa Woodson holds a B.S. from the University of Mary Washington and an MBA from Averett University. Melissa’s most recent position was as Executive Director of the YWCA where she led the Board of Directors to a successful merger with DePaul Community Resources. Melissa has varied non-profit experience including the Director of Special Projects with the Rappahannock United Way, a Team Leader at Boys’ Home in Covington and a Program Manager at Quin Rivers Community Action Agency.
Melissa takes profound joy in working to decrease unnecessary suffering from breast cancer by promoting advocacy, education and research. She has a strong belief that Susan G. Komen for the Cure will one day find the key to ending breast cancer.
